Installation

Install cane-format from PyPI.

cane-format needs Python 3.10 or newer and has no dependencies.

pip install cane-format

With uv:

uv add cane-format

Import it under its short name:

import cane_format as cane

The command line tool cane-format is installed with the package:

cane-format --help

NoteVersions

cane-format follows Semantic Versioning. While the version starts with 0., the API may still change between minor releases; every change is listed in the changelog.
